About the Blogger
Hi! My name is Nazwara Ali and I am a student at Beaconhouse National University, studying Film and TV. I have always been a big music enthusiast as to why I wanted to make this blog to help the local community with guidance that I never received. I am fond of multiple instruments but mostly I play the drums and guitar and I am a former member of my school’s music society.
I struggled a lot in the beginning while learning music theory and frequent change in teachers, there was no proper guidance and I did not know where to start. Online videos were not much help either until I came across fellow musicians who were happy to guide. I ended up performing on multiple events and got rid of stage anxiety.
My journey taught me that the key to learning is having the right teachers. Nothing is possible if you do not have the passion for it. I always have loved music since I was a child because it was the only thing that affected my mood greatly. I believe that the power of music is real and great and it needs to be explored further. Living in a country like Pakistan has introduced me so many different cultures of music due to our rich history. Whether its traditional or contemporary music it should be promoted in our country. There are many talented artists in this country who do not get the opportunity to display their talent because they do not know how to.
This blog is made for that very reason, to provide insight to artists and music lovers with all ongoing activity across the city or where to visit if they are looking for a gig or just want to enjoy live music. For beginner level musicians I have planned to collaborate with local musicians with years of experience to guide on what to do and what not to do while learning a specific instrument. If you want to check out new songs and new artists, that information is also available for you to check out which will help these artists to grow and be motivated to create more magic. Every week new underrated artists that deserve a shout out will be featured on the blog for you to read about the journey and struggles and what are their future plans.
